This is a difficult question: why do everyone love a
crystal chandelier? Number one, they are exceptionally delightful, switched on or not. It's rather hard to disagree. Everybody seems to can't stop staring when these lighting fixtures are all switched on in the evening. Difficult to look away, right? Just imagine the crystals catching the lights and refracting them back, if you have glass or crystal wares it would indeed become more enthralling. Number two, they are good quality investments. These lighting fixtures has been going on for just about forever that it is difficult to snub them. But they are also considered as timeless pieces of decor not just because they make a fashion statement. But because they make an ordinary room look extraordinary by just hanging there.
Second tough question: if a crystal chandelier is so awesome why then there are those who wouldn't risk to hang them? Number one probably is the size. Next because they are costly. And then of course no one likes cleaning them. If we regard these reasons these aren't actually problems. In terms of space, a downsized lighting fixture like mini-chandeliers could fit even a bathroom. When it comes to the budget, by owning a simple one you can decrease the zeroes in the tag price. If you think these lights use too much electricity, ask your retailer to give you an energy-efficient fixture.
In terms of maintenance, yes chandeliers are actually a bit troublesome to dust-"mendokusai" if you ask the Japanese. Because chandeliers include several materials like crystals, glass, and metal wares many people believe each one requires a different type of cleaning. Unless you have lighting fixtures with ten to twenty light bulbs you have to remove each one first before washing the frame. But when it comes to the number of the branches, you can limit it down to two or three so you have minimal difficulty washing the arms and metal works.
You must know you must never, ever use ammonia with your metal surface. You can spray ammonia in your kitchen and in your window but not with your lighting fixtures. If your lighting fixture though is made from metal or silver finish use a cleaning solution especially made for that instead. If you use the incorrect mixture for your adornment then it would either destroy the metal coating or would damage the coating forever. It would save you trouble if you can find a shop who can sell you the lighting fixture with the cleaner. If you find them costly and you believe you can actually make your own cleaning solution then go for it. As a matter of fact, spraying detergent or vinegar on the crystal bulbs is in fact as helpful as the commercial cleaners.
Spurt the solution into a cotton wipe and dab it in the light bulb. If the chandelier is hard to reach, use a high ladder when cleaning for safety reasons. To keep your mounted lighting fixture looking bright and sparkling, detach the light bulbs from the frame at least two times a year to shake off the soot.
